My first pregnancy with my daughter was pretty rough, morning sickness as soon as I lifted my head in the morning, lots of barfing, lasted through most of the pregnancy, etc.
This pregnancy I still have m/s (though it is more in the afternoon/evening/night, and more significant nausea more so than actual barfing).I still get m/s in the morning off and on--so its not like it is completely different in terms of m/s from the last pregnancy.
Because the m/s is different, everyone keeps telling me that it must be a boy. I'm just interested in whether other people who already have a child have insight on this? Did anyone have one gender and then have different m/s symptoms but have another one of the same gender? Or vice versa...
Obviously I know nothing is for sure, I'm just interested.
Re: Those who aleady have children (pregnancy symptoms)
Each pregnancy is different and it doesn't really tell much about the sex. I had a girl with my first and this one is also a girl. My morning sickness was different with both and I also am carrying this baby very low while my second was very high.

My first pregnancy was rough. Morning sickness the whole way through (I was on medication), every other symptom under the sun. I was miserable.
This time, I feel great! No symptoms.
Both of my kids are boys.

Not quite 3rd tri yet but I wanted to answer since I'm on baby #4
With My 2 girls I was as sick as a dog for most of my pregnancy. WIth my boy I only had 2 weeks of morning sickness. I was able to eat more but was more tired. This baby I won't be finding out the sex until birth day but I can say that my pregnancy symptoms are more like that of being preggo with a boy.
THis is just my experience and I agree that every pregnancy can be different. I would in fact though be very surprised if this one came out to be a little girl.
Usually it doesn't say anything about the sex... but in my family it does.
My mom had 3 boys and 2 girls. Nausea with the girls, not with the boys.
My sister had 2 girls and 1 boy. Nausea with the girls, not with the boys.
I have a girl and I am expecting a boy. Nausea with the girl, not with the boy.

When I was pregnant with my son, the morning sickness started later in the pregnancy, but was more intense. A lot more vomiting and food aversions and it lasted until I was about 20 weeks. The food aversions lingered until I gave birth.
With this pregnancy, I'm having a girl. The morning sickness started earlier and wasn't quite as bad. More just feeling queasy and only occasional vomiting. It ended around 20 weeks again, but I didn't have so many aversions this time.

I am/was very fortunate in that I never had morning sickness. In both pregnancies I was nauseous early on, and very smell-sensitive, but never threw up.
My second PG was so similar to my first that I pretty much convinced myself that I was having another boy, but nope, this one is a girl!
So I have to conclude that sex of the baby makes no difference for my body, it's just how I "do" pregnancy.

There is research that indicates that it can be worse with girls, because you have more of the hormone that causes m/s when you are having a girl. You can probably google it. There is science behind it.
Every pregnancy is different.
However, while I felt constantly nauseated for the first several weeks with both my pregnancies, I've never actually thrown up, which I guess means I had mild morning sickness. Both pregnancies were/are boys.
