Photo people, is 1913.6 KB high resolution?

I don't understand much about that stuff. I had someone design a christmas card and the proof was good and I haven't heard back from them. I'm wondering if she considered the proof to be the final. I just wonder how it will print.

  • That's a farily large file size, but that is not the resolution.  Resolution would be in pixels.
  • Loading the player...
  • Any way I can tell from the file/pic?
  • If you have it saved, right click on it, choose properties, and then the summary tab.  It should show it there.

That's still the file size.  The resolution would be in pixels or dots per inch.  Or if you provide the dimensions, that can give a good idea based on the file size you already provided.

  • No, that's not it.  It should say, for example, width 700 pixels height 500 pixels.  Or something like that.

If that isn't working, you can open it up into some sort of photo software and check it.  I'm sure you have Paint; right?  Open it in Paint and go to image - attributes.  It will show the image resolution there.

  • 2100 x 1500

    Sorry, I'm a little slow.

You should be able to print that no problem.  That tells me it's 300 dpi (which is minimum recommended print size) and sized to print at 5x7.  If you divide it by 300 you get 5x7.
