I had my follow up ultrasound since it was one week ago that we discovered the partial loss. The babies looked great and measured exactly the same, 14.4 weeks at 13.7 weeks. The tech even said she could tell that the baby on top is a BOY!!! We have two girls so this is very exciting. The tech said that because I am early she was looking at the genitalia from a cross section and it was clearly a boy. She couldn't tell on the other one because of the position. The nuchal measurement on the other twin was still 2.6 mm, so at least it didn't get bigger. With my age my risk of Down syndrome is 1/800 and the nuchal measurement increases it to 1/500, which is still pretty good odds. My next appointment is Dec. 28 and I will have an ultrasound to checkk my cervix, not sure how much of the babies I will see. Then I will have my full fetal scan mid January. Hopefully they are both healthy!
