Why is picking sling fabric so hard? I can't decide

and would like some opinions.  Part of me wants to do something fun (Gigi - and that happens to be on clearance so it is cheaper) but part of me wants to do something practical (sage or black) in case DH wants to wear it and it won't show dirt as quickly.  Thought?

mine are black, tan and then i have a bright green shantung. guess which one DH won't use? LOL!

for me, i went the practical route but also b/c i am the kind of person who wants y sling to match my clothes. i wear a lot of black/white/gray so black was a natural 1st choice for me.

I went with black since I figure it would coordinate with most everything I wear.  No matter what I would go with a solid.

I have the solstice.  I love the pattern, but I've never really figured out how to use it.  I need a lesson from Rayskit.

mine wasn't zolo, but it was purple brocade fabric. I loved it and wear mostly solids so it still went with my clothes. I always got tons of compliments on it too! i passed the woman's card around so much that she gave me a free one for the extra business. it was solid and I never used it.

oy. i'm a little rusty. kat has taken over as the new sling queen. i'll be back in form soon enough though. i'm sure i could still show you something esp if it means i get to see amelia!

I also went the practical route.  I got one in ecru because I couldn't stand the thought of black in the summertime.  That's just me.  I figured DH could wear it and it would match everything.  I'm weird like that.

 I have a friend that has a patterned one, though, and it doesn't look weird when she uses it.

I went the fun route and chose a pink and green paisley print.  I really like Gigi -- the one called Peacock is neat, too, and it's also on sale.  I like bold patterns and had fun choosing one.

This one is mine - I wasn't so sure about the pattern, I wanted just a plain one, but I like it a lot.  If I want plain, I use my Moby wrap which is just black.  I just think of the sling as my main accessory when I dress now, if I'm using the Zolo.

I want the Chai and the Coco now though

I have solstice too...  Dh won't wear a sling..  He has a bjorne (or however you spell it)...

ditto... well actually, ditto the solstice and dh not wearing it... but he doesn't wear the bjorn, either.. he'd rather just hold her

I love the peacock but it only comes in small

I do have a black moby and a solstice hotsling - I think I might go sage for some neutrality but not just black.

I also have the solstice and love the fabric... but I still don't know how to use the sling. ?I keep watching the video hoping something will click, but I'm still doing something wrong because Wyatt really doesn't like it and I find it to be uncomfortable. ?

on the www.askdrsears.com website they have some sling trouble shooting tips. it definitely shouldn't be uncomfortable. wyatt's discomfort may have a lot to do with him feeling your anxiety about it. babies are weird like that- truitt hated the sling until a woman at Womens Work put him in it. i was blown away and she said tehy can feel if we are confident or not. sho'nuff, once i felt good about it, he loved it. can you get down to WW? they can definitely work out the bugs for you!
