WFD??

I feel like poo (came home from work with a debilitating migraine in which I cant take anything for while pg) and have no desire to grocery shop and the thought of cooking/eating makes me nauseous.  But alas my family needs to eat.

So, what are you having for dinner this week?

Tomorrow I know I will be having pulled pork in the crockpot.  Its fast easy and everyone loves it.  I need other quick easy meal ideas.

Can I just serve soup and sandwiches every night until the 1st tri is over?  Its only 4 more weeks! :(   This.baby.hates.me!  and is kicking my @$$.  I never felt this horrid the other 2 times.

ok.  pity party over.

waaahhhhh!!!

ok. seriously. now Im finished.

Re: WFD??

  • Last night, DH made roasted potato/leek soup.  We're having it leftover tonight.

Tues - out for Chinese with our neighbor

Wed - spaghetti/sun dried tomato frittata

Thur - proscuitto wrapped chicken breasts and roasted veggies

    Fri - pizza

Sat - stuffed chicken breasts and green bean/fingerling potato salad

Sun - soup and homemade rolls

  • Monday - tacos.  Easy.  Brown the meat, add the seasoning.  We use soft taco shells here.  Lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, jalapenos.

Tuesday - Joe made chicken parmesan last night and we will have those leftovers.

Wednesday - steak, baked potato, veggie

Thursday - I'm going out to dinner with a friend so Joe and kids will probably have take out or something easy.

Friday - chicken quesadillas.  Peppers and onions cooked.  Chicken cooked seperately.  Add together with fajita seasoning.  Add shredded cheese and put between two soft taco wraps. Put on George Foreman to melt/brown.

  • I totally think we did do soup/sandwiches for my entire first tri.  The crock pot helped a lot too.

We're having breakfast for dinner tonight.  Last night was sloppy joes and oven roasted potatoes.

I'm trying to use up everything before we go on vacay tomorrow.

  • We didn't get groceries this weekend because we were OOT, so until either DH or I get a chance to buy, we're winging it.

Tonight, I'm making ham and cheese roll ups (crescent rolls, with deli ham and swiss rolled in them and baked for 10-15 minutes) with a salad on the side.  And that's all I've got so far.

  • Tonight I'm making this: https://chaosinthekitchen.com/2010/03/chicken-legs/ since I have a big pack of chicken legs in the fridge that I need to use up. I think I might make the homemade rice-a-roni to go with it since I think I have everything for that, too. I'll have to see what veggies we have in the freezer or I might do a lettuce salad.

I desperately need to go to the grocery store, so I'm not sure about the rest of the week. I have book club tomorrow night so it might just be pizza tomorrow.

After that, I'm thinking the quesadillas Jodi posted sound delish! And maybe some shrimp scampi this week, too.

  • I didn't get through my whole week while I was planning because I ran out of ideas, but I'm up one day since we ended up going out last night, so I can use my Sunday idea for today. I'm SO sick of figuring out meals lately.

M - spaghetti, salad, garlic toast

T - Chicken wraps and some fresh fruit

W - french toast and sausage links with more fresh fruit

Th - chicken quesadillas and (even more) fresh fruit...maybe I'll throw fresh veggies in there to surprise my family Big Smile

    F - ???

    Sat - ???

  • I am no help.

I am going out to knit night and they are having... soup and sandwiches. (Leftovers from the party yesterday.)

  • Oh, and when I was in my first trimester with C, we had english muffins in some form almost every night.  It was the only thing I could keep down.  If I could have prepared english muffins 100 ways, I would have!
  • Tonight is potato soup!!  Yum!!!  (Assuming I get off my @ss and start cooking)

    Tomorrow is tacos

    Wednesday is cheesy garlic chicken

    Thursday - porkloin

    Friday - spaghetti

    Saturday - Christmas parties

    Sunday - ??

    Monday - Pizza/leftovers

  • We are having Dylan's Godparents over to do our Christmas gift exchange with them.  We are having honey ham, cheesy hashbrown potatoes, spinach & strawberry salad - and just learned MIL made a green bean casserole (we told everyone not to bring anything!)  Christmas cookie trays for dessert!
  • Tonight: waffles with sausage, bacon, apples and strawberries and egg nog

    Tomorrow: Tacos

Wed: tuna noodle casserole and/or sweet potato soup

    Thurs: lasagna?

    Friday: don't know

Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.
  • Tonight - roated chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli (leftovers from yesterday)

Tuesday - egg noodles tossed with olive oil/butter, parm cheese and some leftover shredded chicken and broccoli and some warm bread

    Wednesday - steak, salad, asparagus

Thursday - shrimp scampi orzo and garlic bread

    Friday - shrimp fried rice,

Saturday - probably delivery, either pizza or chinese. I grocery shop sundays and usually out of food by saturday night.

I was SO sick with dd, lemon helped. I ate egg noodles for days. I would make plain for me with fresh lemon squeezed on top, and would mix in different things for dh and ds (chicken, shrimp, alfredo sauces, etc).
