Why do they make sleep books so long and boring? :(

Don't they know that, when we need them the most, we're too busy and sleep-deprived to read them?!!!  Or at least I am 

I bought a few when I was pg with DS but never got more than a few chapters in to any one of them.

And now I'm sitting here with an 8 month old who's a sh!t-tastic sleeper as of a month or so ago, and feeling like I have no here to turn without spending a huge chunk of my precious time reading not just A book, but multiple books to see what I think will work for us!  (Since the most common suggestion is not an actual, "Have you tried such-and-such?", but "Oh, have you read xyz?")

I'm a bad Mama cause I didn't even take the time to read any books.  I just did what people said "Try XYZ".  who the hell has time to read?!  Could you maybe skim it and find some higlights?  Too bad there aren't cliff notes versions of sleep books.

I always recommend the book 12 Hours Sleep by 12 weeks Old, by Suzy Giordano.  It is wonderful!  And the best part?  You can read the whole thing, start to finish, in maybe 2 hrs max.  It is a super short, quick read, with so much helpful info.  She is a mom of twins and a sleep coach.  It was so great for helping get us on a schedule, and had the twins STTN by 11 wks (I know, probably  not what you want to hear, but I owe it all to this book).  I'm sure it would still have some really great tips for your 8mo. old.  Honestly cant' say enough great things about it.  Hugs, mama!
