How do I keep LO warm when transporting in and out of vehicles in a convertible carseat? We're going to be in IN for almost 2 weeks in February (brrr) and also here in a couple of weeks at Christmas.
Also, any recs for hats that will stay on/mittens, etc? I'm thinking of buying him a coat, yet I know he can't wear it in the carseat so it'd be something I would have to wrangle him in while in the car. I do NOT miss the Midwest in the winter.
Re: Cold weather peeps...
We put DS in his car seat sans coat & layer blankets on top to keep him warm for the drive. We also have his car seat in the middle of the backseat, directly in front of the rear heater vents, so he gets warm & toasty really quickly.
When it's time to get out, DH or I hop in the backseat & quickly put on his coat, hat & shoes. Even if we're just running into church or the store, we like to make sure he stays warm & the hat is a necessity. We bought one that covers his ears, with a velcro strap under his chin.

Genius!!!! I'm going to try to make this! I am also working on a leg warming type thing for the stroller, and this would be even better. Thank you, thank you!
