Audrey was in The Nutcracker tonight....the "big" production here in town. And I"m a TOTAL dance/stage mom!!
Here is a pic....
She was a bumblebee during "Waltz of the Flowers". Its a small part...but she was starstruck by the whole thing. We ran into the "Nutcracker" on our way backstage. She got to dance with a "flower" and it was just really fun for her.
Re: TOTAL AW!!!!!! PIP
LOVE!!!
Is she having a ball?! I just love ballet and all the stuff that goes with it.
Yes....everything was just MAGICAL! She had two shows today, and we didn't get home until 10:30, so she was BEAT!!!! But it was SOOOOOO worth it. Taylor is sad/jealous that she didn't try out...she was chicken until the day came but it was too late to sign her up!! So next year, I may have TWO kids in it!!!! I hope so!!!! I LOVE ballet's too. love, love, love! In fact, I tried to talk Mitch into signing up for dance so he could be in it too...but he said "no, unless there is truck dancing." Not sure what 'truck dancing' is...but I guess its the men's version of dancing??? LOL.
Wow, that must have been an amazing experience!! I didn't realize the professional companies did that! I'll have to look into it when ML is older.
Great shot! Did you get that yourself or was that a professional shot?
That was my "illegal" photo taking from my seats.....shame on me. Like I said...I'm a TOTAL stage mom.
She auditioned back in October. And then the parts that were more involved, like the kids who were at the Christmas party...and the mice/soldier battle (all older kids...like 9-18 year olds???) had rehearsals every Saturday since the try-outs. The actual dance troop was only like maybe.....20 people total?? And then there were probably 50 local kids who were in each show. Most parts had 2 or 3 casts....so Audrey was just in both shows today. There was another cast for last night...and then a cast for tomorrow.

Ooh, I hope you have 2 in it next year. I truly love ballet. So beautiful and graceful.
Congratulations to her!
And yea, toddlers and tiaras? That would SO be me if Cam ever got involved in something like that. LOL
