I haven't lost my mucous plug yet but I a will be 38 weeks tomorrow and I had like 3 sharp pains hit me yesterday on the right side that came and went and then I was fine.Today I was fine then all of a sudden I have really bad back pain which wraps around I've drunk water and layer down instead of sitting up and I still feel it it's hurts but isn't extremely extreme Anyone elese feeling this pain? And do you have to lose your mucous plug before active labor?

    with DS I did not lose my mucus plug until I was in labor.  with DD I lost my MP the night before I was induced (due to possible placental bleeding).

    I also got to be in early labor with DD for 3 days.

    You will have all kinds of cramps, twinges, shooting pains during the last few weeks.  You can also lose your MP and still be pregnant weeks later.  You can also go into active labor and still have your MP. 

    GL....it could be days or a few more weeks but you will have your LO soon.
