Late Term and Child Loss

Update on my isolation

If you've been following my posts you know how isolated I've been feeling. Well, I finally just bit the bullet and decided to reach out, even though it hurts to do it.

Yesterday, I texted a friend. I just said I'm lonely and miss you and want to get together if you have time. Of course she said she's been wanting to talk to me but wanted to give me my space (duh). I'm going to see her on Sunday.

And,... I started a blog. Many of you suggested it and at first I was turned off by it, but couldn't think of another way of sharing w/o posting it as a FB status which seemed inappropriate. Totally not my style but I had to put a little bit of our story out there before I started seeing people. I put a link to it on my FB page so that the people who saw the "we lost our son, please leave us alone" post will know it's okay to contact us. Plus, they can choose to not visit the blog if they don't want to. I feel really lame for doing it, but I just can't be so alone anymore.

If anyone wants to read it, here it is. It's just a very brief version of what happened.

  • I think it's great you reached out. I'm finding it really challenging, too, b/c DH really hates talking about Kira and Ethan b/c it just forces him to relive the worst moments of his life. I need to respect that, but it helps for me to just talk about them and what happened. I'm learning to accept it, but it's still so hard! I think you may have just inspired me to start a blog, too! :) I <3 writing.
