My DH's BFF has a daughter named Tea (I don't know how to do the accent marks.)
It is pronounced like Tia (or Tija.) She was adopted from Indian so I am not sure if that was her birth name, or something that her mother (adopted) came up with.
I think it is a nice name, I don't have a problem with the spelling, it just seems common that the accent might not always be put in there. (I have the same problem with my mn Renee)
The problem with accent marks for me anyway is that it doesn't help me with pronunciation at all. I never learned that for some reason. Is the name pronounced Tia? I have a long distance cousin with this name. It is pretty just NMS.
I like how the name sounds but not how it's spelled. I agree that Thea might be a better choice for spelling, though I'm sure she'll have to correct the pronunciation quite a bit. I think it is a nice name though.

Re: Téa?
The beverage, even with the accent mark.

Ew.
Sweetened or unsweetened?
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I wouldn't pronounce this the same as Tea.
Anyway, I like it. It also makes me think of Tea Obreht. But, as other pps pointed out, names with accent marks are a pain.
I use to work with a woman named Tea. the name fit her well.
Call me crazy, but I like the name...
