I heard this name last night and asked DH if he liked it, surprisingly he said yes. I think I really like it.
Our top girl name is Amelia. Is Ramona better or worse or just terrible all together and do you think it would it go with DS1, Jack?
Be honest, TIA.
Re: Ramona
I'm not on the Ramona train at all, but I think I might be alone on that one. Amelia is a thousand times more beautiful to me than Ramona.
ETA: Either one works with Jack, IMO.
I think of Ramona the Pest (and Amelia Bedelia) immediately but I LOVE those names - they just happen to be the names of children's book's characters.
Olivia is the name we agree on right now (though my enthusiasm is waining) and my cousin said she'd buy us the whole series of Olivia books if that's what we ultimately decided on.
I like Ramona a lot, it's different enough to not be every where you look, but it's not weird.
I remember watching the Ramona the Pest tv series (based on the books) that was on PBS in the late 1980s every week. Ramona and Beatrice (Beezus) just have that childhood charm to me.
This.
Absolutely this. I'm also not a huge fan of names that end in -na

I adore Ramona! I think it works well with Jack.
I'm not a big fan of Amelia, it reminds me of that annoying Amelia open that door rhyme. Or Amelia Bedelia.

That reminds me of those books I read as a child. Not that that's a bad thing, but I don't actually like the sound of the name.
Amelia is gorgeous.
