It more than likely means you are dilating, but I'd still call the Dr just to let him or her know.
i called and spoke with the nurse. i was just in around lunch time for my weekly check up. nurse asked on the phone "did dr check your cervix" i said "yes, it was just a 1". she said, well its perfectly normal to have a pinkish/brown mucousy discharge after a cervical exam". But then i said "its not mucousy". So then she seemed confused, she said "is it watery?" and i said, "yeah, i guess so" and then she was wondering if it was my water breaking. but i was thinking no, it couldn't be, cuz all i did was pee like normal, stop peeing like normal and wipe. its not like fluid or blood keep on flowing or leaking.
Ok, i just checked my pad 1.5 hours later and there was a brown spot the size of a quarter and thats it. Does this help you identify what it is at all? Do you think just irritation from the exam?
It's probably from the internal exam, and if your baby is not breech, there is no need to panic. I would keep your doctor posted. You might be having your baby soon!!

My guideline from the Dr was if I have bleeding like a period to come in. I've had spotting a few times especially after internals and I don't worry about it.

I think it's probably just irritation from your internal. However, if you start cramping or have low back pain, then I'd call again.
Proud mother of two breech babies:)
