My parents just built a house this fall. For xmas I'm ordering them a plaque that has their initial on it, their family name and then it says "established" and a spot to put the year. Do I do the year my parents married or the year they built the house?
Re: Personalization Question
Tough call. I think you can justify either option.
I would probably do the year they were married, since their family was established then. I would put the year they built the house if the plaque was wording on it was specific to the house (i.e. The Smith House, established 2011). Does that make sense?
