How wrong would I be?

When I picked up DD from her visit with her dad we discussed CS. He said he pays off his court fees next week then will start sending in the CS. He asked if I needed money ASAP and I said yes, so he said he will give me cash next week. How bad would I be if I accepted the money without reminding him it's supposed to go through the state?

Honestly? I think you would be very wrong. Personally, I would feel like such a schmuck if I purposely took advantage of someone like that...even if it was my XH (and mine abused me and DD and tries to bleed me dry financially by dragging me back to court every couple of months). Good luck with whatever decision you make!

I think your conscious would get the best of you.

He can give you cash and you can execute a notarized satisfaction. Send that to the state and it will be applied to his account as a paid amount.

It was kind of a tongue in cheek question...I did tell him to just buy DD a box of diapers which would be helpful.
