It's almost that time of year... :( ...and now I'm having contractions...

I had a m/c last December on the 15th. We're nearing that time and I'm an emotional wreck. I also had my first contraction that left me breathless...and a second in Walmart on a Puppy Chow Mix run that had me stopped in the middle of the aisle holding my DH and panting. I've had antoher two, but not five in an hour. They are lasting 45seconds or a little longer...but the new addition is a sharp pain in the lovelies when the contractions starts. I'm not sure if these are stress induced at this point or not. My soul aches. My heart aches. *sigh* I need more Puppy Chow.

I am so sorry for your loss. If it helps, I have been having contractions like what you describe for a couple of weeks now and my LO still doesn't look like he/she will be making an appearance anytime soon.

So sorry for your loss but so excited for your little one on the way!  Grieving and rejoicing can be very difficult to do at the same time and really does a lot on our emotions.  Try to allow yourself to feel sad when you need and glad when you need.  Both are important...and draining.  Hang in there!   Thank you so much for posting about those contractions.  I keep running out of breathe and feeling all weird when I am shopping so glad to know they are actually contractions and I am not just TOTALLY out of shape.

This is just your body warming up, totally normal.  I understand your stress and I am sorry for your loss.

Thanks ladies. I appreciate the support and comments. The DH has informed me we're having a date night tonight and to dress up. I told him I didn't want to go out and he said "We're going downtown for a fancy dinner...I already have reservations." So dinner tonight. I'm actually getting excited about it, too. I don't wear make-up...ever....but I'm going to wear make-up, I'm going to curl my hair {again...this NEVER happens}, and I'm going to look stellar.

 I'm glad to know it's just my body warming up. They're getting painful, but not to the "I hate you" and "Dear God make it stop" point yet. So...we'll see.
