Talking about pooing on my daisy.....I'm so excited because I finally have a little bump. My mom's friend has been commenting on my weight and how I look. Well we were just talking about babies and I lifted up my shirt and showed her my tummy she said, "Please....you're baby is only what?....four inches long? That's all food baby. You need to keep your hands out of the cookie jar."
How rude! Women who have had children should know better than to make comments like that. You wouldn't say that to anyone else, so what makes you think it's okay to say it to someone who's pregnant?..ugh...rant over.
Re: sick of weight comments...esp. from women who have kids
People don't think. My grandma commented on how big my butt was. Another lady at work told me I was carrying all the weight in my butt. Needless o say I am self conscious
as much as it sucked to hear that, some women actually do need to hear it. say for instance, the 8 weekers on 1st trimester who confuse bloat with a baby bump. or the 12 weeker who felt her baby "move". no, honey that was a turd making it's way down to your pooper.
sorry, darlin'. I would give you a cookie to make you feel better but I already ate it.
A comment like that would lead me to eat like 10 cookies - right in front of her!
Not nice of her at all - i'm sure you look great!
that's stinks. a few weeks ago, i told dh "my pants are so tight". his response was "well, we've both been eating like animals lately. don't tell me it's the baby! the thing's only this big!"
some people just don't get it. you can remind people that the baby is only 8lbs when it comes out and recommended weight gain is more like 25lbs, so let them do the math.
how rude!
Just more evidence of our culture's unhealthy obsession with women's weight... just remember that depending on how old she is, she might have been part of a generation of women that took diet pills while they were pregnant. Enough said - but still doesn't excuse the stupidity.
And I LOVE your don't touch it graphic. I might need to make that into a T-shirt.
LOL - well you guys know me - I cant seem to hold my tongue lately and let me tell you when I say - tell them to eat shit and die - I really do mean it (at that time). I just absolutely refuse to take the abuse of other people because they think they are the guru of how a pregnant body is suppose to look.
That's beyond rude.
I'm constantly getting "OMG, if you're this big now, you're going to be HUGE!" Ugh. It's twins. Of course I'm going to be huge. Suck it.
And I have to love my mother, who saw me at a mere 9 weeks pg and said, "oh, honey! Your hips are spreading!" Awesome.

Exactly, some people are rude AND idiots! There's the increased blood volume, amniotic fluid, placenta, larger breasts, etc. It isn't all just baby.
