Swelling in my face...

specifically my lips - also hands feet and ankles... anyone else have this? I had my hands feet and ankles swell last time but not my lips. Is this common?

Isn't swelling in the face a sign of GD? Not trying to scare you but does your Dr. know about the swelling?

Wow, i've never heard of the lips swelling! Sounds like something i wouldn't mind, though...  lol ) (As long as it isn't something potentially bad, as PP mentioned...)

My lips are swollen. My doctor doesn't think there is anything wrong with it. They have been swollen the entire third trimester.

Check your blood pressure.  Sudden dramatic swelling of the hands and face is a sign of pre-e.  If your BP is high (140/90) you need to see your doctor.  I had pre-e with my first.  Luckily, with this LO I avoided it, but I do have some swelling in my face, legs, and hands.  My BP is OK.

Face swelling can be a bad sign- definitely call your doctor. Hands/feet swelling can be normal, but when something ABOVE the level of your heart is swelling, it can be a red flag. Just give them a call.
