Why do items that have been purchased remain on the list?

I have one for B and I see that some of her items have been bought (under purchased list) but when I view the "unpurchased" list, those items are still there! Do I have to manually remove them when something gets bought?

I use it. Although no one has bought off of it. My mom looks at the list and then buys it some place else.

I have one. 

My purchased items don't show on the unpurchased list.  Are the items doing this perhaps once you have requested more than one of?  The stuff of mine that I want 5 of (for example) will keep the item listed and just note the number I've wished for vs the number bought.  Its weird that its showing up under both purchased and unpurchased if you've just got one of the item.

I'm an idiot.

I logged out of Amazon and when I pull it up as a public list, it just shows the stuff still available. I guess since I'm the owner, in my account it shows everything.

That's good to know.

On a good note, the only people we told about it were ILs, so perhaps this is indicative of them buying something B will actually use. Instead of paperback books on saints that are at about a 6th grade reading level.
