What age did your kids stop playing with Little People?

My kids have the Garage, Farm, Doll House and Castle. I don't think I've seen them play with them in forever, except every once in a while Nate will use the Garage for his Hot Wheels. I'm thinking of donating them to the kids daycare since they are still in excellent shape, and would be more than happy to not have them cluttering up my living room. Thoughts? Had your kids outgrown them by this age? N and A are 3.5 and 5 y/o respectively.

Re: What age did your kids stop playing with Little People?

  • My kids are 2 and 4 and I just put our Little People house and garage on craigslist today.  They never got a lot of use and take up too much space to keep around.

  • The garage is the only one that gets play now.  DS2 isn't really into them.  I got rid of the house a long time ago when DD got a bigger doll house (one that works with Barbie size dolls).  The farm when to goodwill not that long ago.   The airplane & a train are still around in a toy box and thats about it.   They will prob make the next cut if DS2 doesn't become interested.

  • DD never played with them.  DS probably until about 3, although he will still get out the pirate ship once in awhile.

  • Ds still plays with the farm, but only the original one from my childhood, not the new one (he has both). He also plays with the nativity but that's because it's a novelty since it's only put out at Christmas. I've packed up the rest to either sell of save for his kids.

ETA: he also plays with the school bus, but not with the actual people in it.

  • I packed them up around 2 y/o.

  • I got rid of most of them when DD was about 3 because both kids were more into other things.
  • I am about to list them on Craigslist because they never play with them. What a waste of money.

  • My 5 y/o still plays with the Christmas village set but that's probably because we only pull it out for a few weeks a year.    I say get rid of them if they're taking up too much space.

  • By 2.5, she was definitely done.

  • we have lots of little people stuff, every once in a while ALL 3 will pull them all out and make a whole town.  It has been a while though, we were just going to get big rubbermaid containers and put them in the crawl space for when they have kids.  (mom mom saved some of our stuff and my kids play with it all the time!)
