I am new to this area.  Do you recommend any mom and pop restuarants or stores around here?  We took a drive and saw many places on the water and into Anchor Bay area ........but have yet to try them out.

Ok will do ...many people told us we must try it out too!  How about Strawberry Fields.....have you been there?

It's okay. Really, there's not too many non-chain restaurants that are good in the area.  We like Giuseppe's on Gratiot near 22 mile.
