Breastfeeding

Anyone have experience with a lip tie?

My LO is 5 weeks and breastfeeding has been a huge struggle and very painful. Today an LC noticed that she is lip tied. No other LC we have seen including our pedi has ever looked for or mentioned this but after looking at pics online she is definitely lip tied. She has been checked and is not tongue tied. Has anyone had experience with a lip tie alone? Did BFing improve after it was fixed? We have an appt with the pedi this afternoon.
