Pain...TMI

I'm pretty sure I lost my mucus plug a couple of weeks ago, at 34 weeks.  Since then I've been feeling this stinging/sharp pain in my vaginal area...almost right behind my pubic bone.  Is this just my cervix effacing or something to be concerned about?

I'm not really sure if that's what it is. But if it continues, I would call your doctor, nurse or midwife and ask if it's something that you need to worry about or even come into the office over.

Does it almost feel like pinching?  I get that a bunch and so far no cervical changes.

I don't know if it is beacuse of pressure changes or if she is just being curious in there. lol

Yeah some times it is like pinching!!

I get a feeling like that and I've noticed it's mostly when I stand up and take a few steps. It feels like my bladder is being stabbed and I can't stand straight up until it passes. It only lasts a few seconds. I have no idea what it is, I thought it might be the famed "lightening crotch" but I'm just not sure.

Well I had my weekly appointment an hour ago, and my OB doesn't usually check the cervix until 39 weeks unless he has reason to or if asked, so I asked him to check because of the pinching feeling.  Yep...I'm 3cm dilated and 80% effaced!!  I'd mention the pains to your OB at your appointment or call just to be sure they don't want to check you too
