My mom is freaking adorable right now

She's so excited for this baby she can't stop talking about it. We drove to their house yesterday for Thanksgiving (about 2 hour drive) and then they came down to us today for Black Friday shopping. My mom can't keep her hands off my belly and she just told me she has all her arrangements made for when I go into labor (she's a high school teacher) she said she has her sub plans ready in a folder on her desk. All her students know that she may have to leave at any time in the next few weeks. 

I love how excited she is. My dad is excited too but I think right now he's also a little nervous for me. He has canceled all his business trips until late January so that he can be here. They are going to be great grandparents (this is their first grandchild). Their excitement just heightens mine.

    That's great to hear after all the complaints I see on here.  My parents are the same way, my il's are the kind you see complaints about.  I'm so glad that between myself and my husband, one of us has "normal" parents.

    Yeah, I don't get the same sense of excitement from my in-laws that I do from my parents but....we're different people too. My family are like the Fockers and my husband's family is the complete opposite. We SHOW what we are feeling. :)

    Heh.  Mine are just inconsiderate.  MIL scheduled a non-time sensitive surgery for herself for 2 days before my scheduled c-section after months of telling us that any time we need help after the baby is here, just let her know.  I knew better to rely on her at all, so we aren't, but now she's acting like she won't even be able to come see the baby for a while.  It's not the help that bothers me, because I actually prefer them not to "help", it's just that she's good at taking attention away from anyone else who has something big going on.  There's my rant.  It's been building for a while and now I'm done, lol.

    I'm just thankful that my own family is there for us in every way.
