When did you stop or are you still sterilizing the water used to mix babies formula....I thought it was necessary until 3 months but I have heard that some moms are still sterilizing at 4 months and above. Curious to opinions.....TIA
I never sterilized. I use Nursery water. It is only $1 a gallon here and so worth it. My tap water reeks of chlorine. It doesn't taste like it, but smells so bad. I know a lot of moms on here use tap water and I guess its just my water where I live, but I just can't do it.
To answer your question....as long as LO is taking a bottle I will always give nursery water and never use tap. Hope this helps!
i use nursery water also. i can usually find a coupon around to get it for 79 cents too. i just wouldn't trust tap water, unless it was boiled and cooled. i have not heard of not sterilizing or using bottled water for bottles after a certain amount of time, if i were you i'd keep sterilizing or buying water just to be on the safe side!
The only time I've used sterilized water was when we had the premixed nursettes that the nicu gave us. They never said one word about sterilizing, so I didn't. We did use purified water from our fridge, but just because it was easier.
