Anyone bringing music to their delivery?

Just curious...what's on your "mix"?

  • I have heard that helps some women, but for me I wanted it quiet.

  • I have been wondering about that and one thing I am considering is just bringing in a handheld radio and turning it to the all-Christmas station since I love Christmas music. It is also a lot less work than putting togetehr a playlist on the iPod and worrying about speakers, etc.

For those who are bringing music, are you doing headphones or speakers? I don't like headphones and don't want to be attached to yet another thing, so I would prefer speakers, but don't know if that is allowed...

  • I'll have both my laptop and my iPad, and both have my iTunes libraries on them. I'm bringing some small portable speakers too.  Since I'll have my whole library available I'm not really putting much thought into what I want to play.  I'm not making a mix or anything.  I think it will probably be music that relaxes me, like Damien Rice and Adele.  But who knows, I might want something more upbeat.  Definitely not instrumental relaxation music...I used to work at a day spa, so that stuff makes me think of work!

  • Dh is making various mixes.  Probably one will be cute and cheesy songs with her name in it and about daughters.  One will be mellow ( ray lamontagne, Bon iver, Amos lee, national, avett bros, wilco, and some other favorites.  Another will be jamming (kanye, sleigh bells, kills, mgmt, Phoenix, Florence, foster the ppl, new pornographers, Mia, etc). Another will probably be goofy ( salt n peppy push it, ton loc, tlc, g and r, etc.

Absolutely love music and for some reason dh absolutely loves making playlists.  It's one of th parts of labor I'm most excited about.

  • My edgy/funny mix is drug related: Drugs in My Pocket, Burn one Down, We are all on drugs...

I need a couple more upbeat ones for that list.

Otherwise, I imagine I will scroll through my ipod if I feel like music.
