Today I had my 37 week appointment and don't go back until next Friday. Last night, I had decreased movement (to the point that I actually got a little worried) and I've been measuring 2-3 weeks behind for the last 6 weeks, so she decided to do an ultrasound, just to check on growth/position/movement and make sure everything's all good. She also did an internal.
I'm a "loose 1cm" and 60% effaced, a progression from last week, but only slightly (1cm, 50%). During the ultrasound, the found that she's not only NOT measuring behind, she's measuring 2-4 days AHEAD! They also found that she's for sure a girl (long story!), head down, and at a 2 station.
Now for the TMI...
For the last couple weeks, I've been pretty constipated, and finally got some relief from that this past weekend, but since the constipation started, every time I would strain at all, my groin muscle would hurt, a LOT. As soon as I'd take the pressure off, the pain would stop. I've been trying to avoid hemorrhoids, so I would just take it as a sign and try again later. Well, it started hurting with the few non-BH contractions I've had (that I noticed), and now (started about 45 min ago) it's happening every few minutes. Sharp, shooting, stabbing, throbbing pains. Strong enough to make my eyes widen and make me yell (kind of like when you slam your hand/foot into something unexpectedly?) and grab my groin.
It's definitely not lightning crotch, I'm super familiar with that, and it's not helping/going away when I change positions. Or stretch. I just keeps happening. DH is freaking out, and I'm just in pain. So... is this normal? Or should I be concerned?
Re: Please tell me this is normal... (silly FTM stuff, long)
