A new reason I hate this OB....

She prescribed me Glyburide because my sugars have been elevated.  Keep in mind, the other OB I've been seeing has been monitoring my sugars and said even though they are slightly elevated, it's not enough to put me on medication.  Well this OB I saw yesterday told me to take the medication anyway and put me on the lowest dose.  Today was the first day I took it and guess what?  My sugar completely crashed.  I've been doing this GD diet since 26 weeks and have NEVER had my sugar crash.  I called the nurse for the OB I like and left a message telling them what happened.  Guess who calls me back?  The biotch OB!  After yelling at me for not eating the right thing when I started to feel shaky (which was a poptart because that's the only thing I had around me at work) she decided to tell me that I should just stop taking the medication, even though she "hates to see me go off it".  If my body can't handle the lowest dose of medication and you are sooo worried about my numbers, then why did you postpone my induction again?  Oh yea that's right, because it's the holiday weekend!!!

I'm absolutely livid.

Agreed. OP If you hate her so, and you have good reason, you should really let her and your other OB know that you are no longer confident in the medical care she provides and want an induction this weekend because that is what is medically best regardless of the holiday. This IS actually in your power.

i am still confused as to why you are being a doormat for this woman? You have posted about this woman numerous times yet you are continuing to allow her to handle your care. It is not difficult to inform your actual OB that this woman is incompetent and causes you stress and you would like her to have ZERO control over your care. Please take a stand and stop letting this woman handle your care.

This is only the third time I've seen her and the first time she's ever really upset me.  I was only scheduled with her because the other 2 OBs in the practice were totally booked.  She just did a LOT of pisssing me off in this one appt.  I absolutely do not want her to deliver me and I'm going to bring it up to the nurse practitioner I see on Monday.  Once again, the OBs I like are booked and I refused to see this OB again, so the appt was made with the nurse practitioner.  I'm pretty sure I'll be going somewhere else next time, which kinda sucks because I really like the other 2 OBs.

Yes, next Weds the 30th.  Read my post below for more details   I'm going to try really hard to "naturally" induce though.  I'm going to force DH to have sex with me every night lol
