Go Go Walking Pup - ugh

both dds have decided they want this for Christmas.  Does anyone have it?  Did your dd play with it for more than 5 minutes?  I just can't see this being a toy that they end up loving past Christmas day.  and the thought of maybe spending $100 (for 2) makes me ill.  I could get one to share, but then they'll fight.

I'm stalking craigslist for a gently used one (or 2) but so far, no luck

Re: Go Go Walking Pup - ugh

  • There are cheaper FurReal Friends that don't have the leash, but still walk around.  Around the 20 dollar price point.  You might be able to pull one of those off?

This is the only thing DD wants for her birthday (12/19) and I was going to go the cheaper route (she's only turning 4, she'd get over it), but my mom got her the 50 dollar one.  I don't anticipate her loving it as much as she thinks she's going to.

  • It's been played with approximately 5 times for approximately 5 minutes each.  I refused to buy it, but my teenaged SILs got it for her.  It won't walk on carpet, FYI.

  • DD (then 5) got Go Go from grandma last Christmas.  I don't remember it getting more than the 5 minutes of love you spoke of.  That said, my 20mo has recently taken to Go Go so she's been resurrected as of late.  Other kids that come over also play with her.

  • My kids always played with our neighbors, like the whole time they'd be at their house.  So my DD ended up getting one for her birthday (my brother got it, I wouldn't pay that much for a dumb dog!).

It's not played with ALL the time but it has gotten use.  I thought it wouldn't be touched at all.  So it wasn't a complete loss here.  The pp are right though, it doesn't go well at all on carpet.  They have to use it on our hardwoods.

  • thanks for the replies.  I wish I could get one of the cheaper ones but I think dds have seen the commercial often enough that they would not be fooled.

I'm going to get one for them to share.  It might be the source of some arguments but I just can NOT justify getting two!!!

  • We got one last year. She plays with it occasionally. It works best on tile floors. It barely walks on carpet. Honestly, she has the most fun with it when she takes it outside.
