so, our diaper champ had just gotten stinky to the point i thought there was no cure. lysol, baking soda, scented trash bags. nothing could make it "clean" again.
enter hurricane ike. we were worried about the stink in our fridge and my MIL, a gulf coast hurricane veteran, told us the trick of wrapping charcoal in newspaper and putting it in the fridge to absorb the smell. it worked like a charm! then it hit me: of course, filters for things like cat boxes are made of charcoal. i'm sure this benefit goes beyond the fridge! i wrapped some up and stuck it in the bottom of the diaper champ. viola! the stink that wouldn't quit is gone!
Re: PSA: got a stinky diaper pail?
what a great idea! I'm going to buy some charcoal tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip. We don't have that issue yet, but it's already on the list of issues to come.
And I haven't been on much so I didn't see it before. Congrats on #2!!!!!!
so?
