LO had her 4 month shots yesterday. And I think they've created a biting (or gumming) monster...
Yesterday evening while BFing - all of sudden she is clamping down on my nipple with her gums. She wasn't making any noise (of pain) while doing but maybe it was her way of dealing with the pain?
Do you just have to hold out through it? Anyone have this happen? Trying again this morning wondering if its going to happen. Ouchies!
BTW At her two months shots, she'd BF and let out this sad squeal but no biting.
Re: "biting" down
Yep, happens for us too. DD's been "biting" with her gums for a few weeks now. I stop nursing her when she does it, but I don't know how much of a lesson it's teaching her, since usually she was done eating anyway! lol
For us, it doesn't seem to have been related to her immunizations at all. She chews everything, and my nipples are no exception.

dd does this when she's coming off the breast after eating. it hurts sooo bad. i try to tell her "no, that hurts mommy" in a low but stern voice. i'm hoping eventually she will understand and stop. lol.
i'm guessing she is teething and it feels good for her gums to clamp down. i don't think it has anything to do with your lo getting her shots, just a coincidence.
