I'm in Wisconsin, and it already feels like winter here. It is extremely important not to have many layers between the car seat straps and your LO. There have been crashes where the snow suit stays in the car seat, but the baby is ejected...aaah!
It is a great concept, and I'm going to order one this weekend. As for now, I am doing a hat, gloves, and heavy blanket for the short trip between daycare and car.
We aren't in a very cold climate per se, but it is getting cold out. I have a Bundle Me for her carseat but it hasn't been that cold yet to use it. When I take her outside now (not to get in the car), she wears a hat, fleece hoody jacket, and then I wrap a blanket up around her.
However, daycare brings the babies outside for fresh air for a few minutes every day, which I fully support. But they don't use a blanket at daycare in the stroller, so I need to find a warmer coat for her. I was going to check out Old Navy.
I'm going to get booties too to go over her socks for when its really cold out. I am still debating on mittens. 1) they will fall off, and 2) she chews her hands constantly, so then they'd just be wet and probably make her hands colder.

and it seems really nice and cozy, and I will put on a hooded sweater or light jacket, with a hat on and blanket inside if its really cold, since the cover isn't snug against him.
Thx to all for the suggestions. I think we have a winner with the carseat cover - looks cozy warm. And of course, warm clothes. I'm with PP mittens seem like a waste since LO loves to suck on her hands and I don't need another item to keep putting back on (ehhem socks) issue.
We have a jj cole bundleme but have decided against using it for the saftey concerns.

Thanks again girls!
I should have clarified. The mittens I have are mittens (without thumbs) that have velcro straps around the wrist. They don't come off easily for DD, and she is still able to play with her ring toys in the car.

she will wear a hat, fleece jacket and extra blanket if we need it
you really shouldn't use a bundle me and snowsuit

I have one of these, and I put a light blanket over LO's feet if it is really windy or cold out. If needed, I'll put her in a light jacket and hat.
