Both are scheduled for the same day, same time. The party was planned first. I'm getting irrationally irritated with DH about this. [Poll]

    It's not about who's known who for longer or who is the favorite. 

    The party was planned first, so you already have plans and cannot do the picture at the time they want.  They can reschedule or do it without you.

    Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.

    Can the family move the picture to just before or after the party?  If it isn't a pro shoot, why not?  A kids party is only like 1.5 or 2 hours anyway.  

    But is everyone in the shoot people she has only seen once in 4 years?  Except for you , her and DH?  That seems weird.  No g-parents ?  Then of course the party, b/c it was first.

    The only other person DD would know is DH's mom, who she sees once every couple of months. From what I'm hearing they are not willing to budge on the time, and the location is about an hours drive from the party.  If we go to the picture, we miss the party.

    I would tell the family you have have to do pic 1hr early and then skip out on the end of it and go to the party.

    Since the pics are non-professional I am assuming there is no appointment.  If this is the case, call family up and ask to move the time up an hour earlier.
