We have been using sposies at night and DD pees right through them now that she's a tummy sleeper so I wanted to start her on cloth at night. We use gdiapers, which are not a good overnight option! So reading a little, I bought 2 kawaii one good night heavy wetter and another minky I think it was. We tried them at naps. Holy hell, she SOAKS through them. I mean soaks, diaper, onesie, clothes, crib, mattress pad soaked. I used their MF insert, but only one. I can't honestly imagine 2 would make a difference. It's not just peeing out the top, but out the legs too. Is this just something that happens? Are kawaiis just not for us? I know not everything is, just wondering if this has happened to someone and they found a solution. They are so cute and soft (and affordable), I want to love them, but I don't think they can even go in our daytime rotation she leaked so bad!
i do it for the joy it brings, because i'm a joyful girl, because the world owes me nothing, and we owe each other the world - ani d.
Re: kawaii - what am i doing wrong?
Ditto this! I have recently ditched all my MF and switched over to hemp and bamboo and I am one happy momma. LO was leaky out like crazy bc the MF was soaked and just couldn't hold anymore. And for the fit issue...you may want to tighten up the snaps alittle if they can go smaller. I was worried at first about making the diapers too tight, but I realized that if I didn't do it tight enough, you get those leaks too. Just make sure you don't have any gaps...
My hemp is very thin, not terribly bulky

1 MF insert isn't going to cut it. First of all, try the diaper during the day to make sure you're doing it up snug enough. It's got to be pretty tight!
For overnight, I do 1 MF + 1 hemp doubler + 1 zorb II doubler. Yes, it's enourmous. My baby isn't doing anything, though, so it's okay! Make a big ol' bubble butt.
Did you prep them? They need one good wash before use.
