that aren't baby related.
i was just thinking that i'd really like to go see a movie w/ my husband b4 the baby is born b/c who knows when i will be able to see a movie again. i am a first time mom so i know life is going to change once the baby is here, which i cannot wait for. i've also been trying to have a weekly date night w/ just us as well.
anything else that you ladies want to do before your baby is born?
Re: things to do b4 baby is born
See Breaking Dawn
get a pedicure/manicure.
DH and I have been going out to eat a ton lately, I'm just cherishing it while I can.
DS is staying with my parents Friday night and dh and I are having one last date night just the two of us. I know we won't have another for a long time because I'm a freak and the first time ds stayed at my parents when he was about 4 months old, I ended up going to their house and sleeping in the guest bedroom in the middle of the night lol.
No idea what we are going to do on our date though. Enjoy an uninterrupted dinner out because that seriously is one of the most enjoyable things now.
I think you are super smart for thinking that about the movies...that is honestly the one thing that DH and I did all the time before DS was here..now...maybe once or twice a year. bummer.
but on that note, DS' daycare has a parents night this friday and we are seeing breaking dawn!!!!! yeah!!!!!
make my christmas cookies
buy all my christmas presents and have them wrapped
chill
I'd like to see a movie again, (I can still remember before we had DS what movie we watched. I also remember the first movie we watched after DS: Juno. We both balled when the baby boy was born.) Get a pedi, and go to dinner where I can take my time eating and not have to get up a bunch of times and then eat cold food.
It's interesting to note how little our lifstyles will change compared to a lot of other bumpies. DH and I don't like going out much. We don't go out to see movies (maybe once a year, but we prefer to wait, buy/rent and watch at home), we rarely go out to eat (I have too many food allergies, I love to cook, and DH claims he enjoys my food more than going out), and we don't have friends that live in the area.
I know it seems like we have "no life", but we've always been quiet homebody types and it makes us happy. I used to work from home and didn't even have a car (nor was anything walking distance), so in general I know I don't go "stir crazy" or miss the outside world.
I know we'll have less time for reading, gaming, and sleep, so we're enjoying those (and luxurious cuddle times) as best we can.
BFP 4-19-11. Ezri Ana born on due date, Dec 30 2011!
My Ovulation Chart
Honestly, I'd just be happy to get control over the clutter in our house because whether I like it or not there are going to be people who want to come visit us here once the baby arrives...
From there I want to get caught up on some sewing and reclaim my sewing room area...
If that all gets done - then I'd just like to get to go with DH to pick out carseats for our vehicles... I know it sounds odd, but my time with DH usually ends up feeling like "Hey, don't I know you?!?!?!" because he's been so bogged down and busy with work...
We have never been to the movies together - we rent, ppv, or otherwise watch things at home. He doesn't like the movie theater atmosphere (annoying people, people too close, etc), and neither of us can justify spending that much money on it. But we do love our DVDs.
We rarely go out to eat, only on occasions really (and even then we might not)...
And in general we just prefer to stay home. We don't take trips anywhere, we plan on "someday" trips, but it's not a big deal.
I personally would like to start getting more sleep before baby. I'm exhausted. We've been regularly baby-sitting my infant neice for a few months (since her mom went back to work) and I don't want to be sleep deprived and changing diapers until I'm...well, sleep deprived and changing diapers! Luckily, that ends Thanksgiving. So please, baby, don't come early. Or at least, don't come too early!
DS #2 - 4/2/14
This Friday is book club/girl's night so I plan on enjoying that since it's monthly and I'll likely miss December's and maybe January's
I'm going to see Breaking Dawn next Wed. with a friend
DH and I have a gift card to Carrabba's that I want to use (the restaurant is an hour away though which is why we haven't gotten around to it yet)
Relax, lay around and watch tv, take long showers, read
The Lion King (the Broadway touring show) is in town, and I'd like to see it. I just need to go by the box office and see if they'll let us have handicapped and companion seats (the chairs move, so it's easier to get out to the bathroom than crawling over a row of people).
I really need a pedicure. The skin on my heels is scratching up my husband's legs.
I need to call a housecleaner - at this point, I'm not doing it myself.

My list is pretty similar to everyone elses:
See a movie of MY choice (Breaking Dawn this weekend!), and hopefully not have to get up too many times to use the restroom.
Get a pedi/mani
Go out to a nice romantic dinner with DH
Get started on my Christmas cards/birth announcements (at least get address labels printed so I just have to peel and stick).
