Hey ladies, I already posted this on the TTGP board that I usually lurk around on, but am thinking this might be a better question for you. I just received a call from my doc saying my AMH level was "somewhat concerning" at 6.5. She said anything under 7 is "not good, not bad" I'm hoping for some direction or a place I could look online that has accurate info about these numbers? She had left a message and asked i call her back either tomorrow or Wednesday bc she would have more time to talk, so I'm kind of stuck to worry today
I didn't even know this was something she was testing, I had gone in for a preg test last week, knowing it was negative, but she had wanted me to get it checked just in case, I guess she did more tests than I realized
thanks
Re: antimullerian hormone?
Different scale, but the info is the same:
https://www.advancedfertility.com/amh-fertility-test.htm
The key statement is: Anti mullerian hormone is one potential test of ovarian reserve. There are other tests that are currently used for evaluation of the remaining egg supply. None of the tests are perfect, and fertility specialists will often use a combination of tests to try to get a better estimate of the size of the remaining egg supply.
seems normal according to this scale: https://www.drmalpani.com/amh.htm
