Progesterone levels..4-5dpo

Hello,

I had my trigger Tuesday, and I ovulated either Wednesday or Thursday. My RE makes everyone test their progesterone 5dp trigger. That was yesterday, even though I was probably only 3-4dpo.

My level came back at 8.3. I always read on here that it should be above 15 on medicated cycles. I said this to my RE and they said as long as it is over an 8, I am all good, esp. since I am only 3-4dpo. So she told me not to give myself another hcg booster. Does anyone have experience with this? Were your p4 levels high at 5dp trigger? TIA!

I've never heard of someone getting a P4 done that early.  The readings would obviously be differant if you had it done 7dpo so I guess you just have to trust that she knows what it should be that early.  My guess is she assumes it will continue to rise over the next few days and that she tests earlier to see if you need the booster shot or not.

I've only heard of doing the 7dpo test..I really don't know what it should be that early..I am going to be taking supplements this cycle because my last cycle was a 4 with my c/p. They said they would need to see it in the teens.

Thanks...yea I think it is to see if I needed a booster or not. My clinic does that for everyone, p4 level checked at 5dpo or 5dp trigger. Weird

I had mine done at 7 DPO and was at a 16. One dr said it was normal, another dr said it was a bit low..hth!

I had my P4 drawn early too. The nurse told me they check early to start supplements ASAP if needed. Mine was pretty high, but drops like a stone around 8 or 9 dpo. Do you mind me asking what clinic you go to?
