Why do people care so much about how old someone is? Maturity levels vary so much, age is hardly a factor. I mean, there's 7 years between DH and I, and you'd never know it. I have an 18 yr old and a 28 yr old working for me, and you'd never know the one was still in high school. I don't understand why its such an issue.

I really don't wanna argue so don't expect me to bite back at anyone. I've always been curious as to why people care how old you are. ?

I don't know...I pretty much agree.  I think it depends on what you are talking about.  You know?  I think you could be a very mature 19/20 year old and probably not ready to have a kid or buy house for example.

i feel you everyone i know thinks im too young. the other nite i think i got to defensive with some ppl in here and i feel bad. . . i do know what you are saying though, they take how you look is how mature you are and occasionally they are right. . . we younguns sometimes do let our age show lol

I care, but that's because I'm "older". It seemed as soon as I turned 30 I became a little ageist.

I totally get why old people yell at younger ones.

I am young, still just 24. I am very mature, many people think I am quite a bit older than I am. I am finding younger people who act very young drive me nuts. I have nothing against young people, I just cannot stand people who act stupid and immature.
