Organic Puffs? Does anyone (local) sell these?

I am trying to find those melt in your mouth baby puffs for DD but can't find any that are organic. Wondering if anyone has seen them in Whole Foods or Central Market or anywhere for that matter. I looked a while back but didn't see them. Has anyone bought these locally? Anywhere online?

 Thanks for your help!

  • We feed DS puffed rice and puffed wheat cereal...  They aren't organic (I have a degree in Agriculture and my parents are farmers and I have a problem with organic, but that's beside the point)..  anyway, they don't have sugar or perservatives and are made with ingrediants that we can pronounce.  We're trying to stay away from sugar...  they are in the cereal isle at Kroger...
  • Thanks for the tip! Does your DS have teeth yet? Do these become a little soft in his mouth? DD seems to "gum" things a lot but I am still pureeing all her food. I know she probably can't handle cheerios yet but puffed rice might be good.

I am curious...what problems do you have with organic food?

  • They are small and melt in his mouth.  He has no teeth and can eat almost anything..  Heck, he ate a piece of toast this morning...

My feelings on organic food (other than those you grow in your own garden to feel yourself or buy at a farmers market) are way too in depth to type out and I'd rather not get into it on a message board...  If you would truly like to discuss I'd be happy to meet you for coffee or lunch or a baby play date...

maddy gets these as well, instead of puffs.

  • we also gave truitt the "annie's naturals" cereals. the dissolved and he was able to gum them long before he could eat cheerios.

I tried the rice puffs today! She seemed to like them OK. I am basically trying to get her to learn to feed herself and we can move on to bigger/better finger foods eventually.

I would totally love to get together some time for a play date! Out kiddos are almost the same age...it should be fun. Let me know what days you are available. I work from home so if I am not too busy on a specific day I can get away pretty easy.

  • Whole Foods sells puffs. They're called Teddy Puffs and they are on the aisle with all the other baby food. I bought some for DD, but they are harder than Gerber puffs and she's not ready for them yet. But she loves the Gerber ones that melt more easily.
