Because this is agony.   I started having really painful back pains last night and after I laid down they began to radiate to my abs.  After about an hour of timeable contractions (8ish mins apart) and throwing up a few times DH called my doc who is out of town of course, then L&D and they said to take two tylenol and a warm shower and drink a big glass of water then wait.  I did as told and it changed nothing, walking or changing position doesn't help either.  The contractions have slowed some this morning but are still pretty consistent and very painful.  L&D told DH that if they persist for a few more hours to come in.  I really hope this isn't false labor, I don't think I could keep going through bouts of this with no progress.  And LO has less than two weeks until my doctor induces me at 38 weeks and I would rather not be induced.

FYI- my ticker is based off of LMP, but LO has been measuring over a week ahead of this the whole pregnancy so my doctor has talked about him coming before 'full term' on his own because I am actually full term, if that makes sense

I"m in the same boat as you. My little man is measuring 2 weeks ahead and so my doctor doesn't think he's going to hang out much longer. If he's not here in a few weeks they are inducing me since he's so big.
