So, my baby will be formula fed... wasn't planning on this, so now we are dealing with the added cost we weren't expecting. Is it worth it to join one of these wholesale clubs? We live close to both a BJs and a Costco, so we could join either one easily. We would only really use it for formula and wipes, maybe some diapers (we are cloth diapering for the most part).
Any thoughts? Other ideas of how to save money on formula?
Re: Costco or BJS... is it worth it?
we use BJs and for baby things it is cheaper than Amazon. You can get diapers very cheap if you buy bjs brand. they are great diapers, been using them for 8 months now. Also we get the ready to feed Similac and it is the cheapest all around. I use to do Amazon and I found bjs cheaper. I get 8 bottles for $ 40 which is great.
I get baby food there too and a lot of stuff for the house. I love Bjs.
I hope this helps.

Yours doesn't have to be a sad story
I love S&S on Amazon for diapers and wipes. DD turned out to be allergic to Pampers in the NICU, so she uses Huggies and I don't want to run the risk of using a different brand. The convenience is worth it on its own. As for formula, I wouldn't base that purchase on Costco/BJs. We are now on our 5th formula, hypoallergenic stuff you can't buy there, so my advice is don't stock up on formula as there is always a small chance you may have to change, especially at the beginning.
We have a Costco membership we use for other things, such as paper goods, sometimes food, clothes, etc. I think you can get a trial for both that is free or inexpensive - go in and see what they have.
