Baby Swim Lessons

I'm about to start my part-time job on Tuesday and I can't wait to spend more time with my 6-month-old daughter. The one thing I really want to do is Mom and Baby swim lessons. We are not Y members - any other suggestions where we may be able to find classes? We live in Oakley if that helps.

Re: Baby Swim Lessons

  • I know they offer them at Mercy HealthPlex.  I did mine at the Anderson location and loved it!  Not sure if any of the locations are close to Oakley.

  • I delivered at Mercy Anderson and my OB is in the same building as the HealthPlex so that seems pretty doable. Thanks!

Small world.  My OB is that building as well.  Did you go to Seven Hills?  Love them :0)

  • You do not have to be a member at the Y to take the swim lessons there.  I took them with my son when he was 10 months old at the Clermont Y.  It was very reasonable ($30 for 4 weeks).  I looked into the Mercy HealthPlex but it was quite a bit more (I think it was around $90 for 6 weeks?)  We are planning on doing another session in the winter since he loves the water.

  • What PP said...I called and you do not have to be a member, just cost a little more

  • Yes, I started out with the midwives but ended up with a c-section with the OBs at Seven Hills. I had a good experience with them, even if I didn't want the c-section.

I just called the Y this morning because I have a free week of membership and I wanted to try the class. They just said I couldn't go to the class with the pass. I wish they would have told me more about the class and the information that I didn't have to be a member to attend. Oh well...I'll call again.

     Thanks to everyone who responded!

You can still go to the Y and I think it is cheaper than most places. We took a swim class at Kids First, but only because we had a Groupon. I thought it was like $75 or so at Y if you weren't a member.
