New to The Bump! IUI, Femara and HCG shot. Higher Progesterone levels than normal, pregnant?!?!?

Hi All!

2 WW has been torture so decided to get on here and hope this helps. Day 3-8 Femara. Day 14 U/S had 1 follicle size 22! YEAH! HCG shot same night. Day 16 IUI and Day 18 IUI. Day 21 Progesterone higher than usual- 31. Usually very low and have to take Prometrium. Not sure if it's higher due to HCG shot but still excited. Could this mean possible pregnancy??? Testing on Friday....Can't wait!

  • Unfortunately progesterone levels don't indicate pregnancy. My p4 on a cycle similar to the one you had was 34 and bfn. All it means is if you do get a bfp, baby will be plenty supplied. lol :) Good luck!

  • My progesterone was 40 during my last cycle and I didn't get pregnant. You cannot determine pregnancy from a P4 level, only whether or not your body can support a pregnancy. 31 is great and more than enough to lead to successful implantation. Good luck!

    IT'S A GIRL

  • Welcome to the board and good luck this cycle with your IUI.  As ladies stated, P4 doesn't help determain if you are PG.  But it is a good sign if it's up that at least you are on the right track if things fall into place.  I hope your stay here is short and you're able to see a BFP on Friday.  Word to the wise if you do...move directly on to PAIF (pregnant after infertility) as we will have only had a few days to get to know you.  If however, you are still with us after Friday - then we'd love to get to know you well!
