Not so much a quote, but I kept reminding myself that contractions only last a minute or so (well, most of them) and then you get a break, and that I could endure anything for a minute.
And I prepared myself and everyone around me to remind me that when I said I just couldn't take it anymore, that meant that I was almost done.
The Mervyn's lady comes to mind as well. You know, chanting to my cervix to "open, open, open."
