Post your fave chili recipe!

'Tis the season!

We tried "Texas chili" last night... you know, the chili that has nothing in it.

Who's got a great traditional chili recipe (with ground beed + beans, etc.)?

Re: Post your fave chili recipe!

  • If lazy, I get the chili kit (carroll shelby's) it used to be in a sack, now it's in a box.

It has all the spices measured out and masa (which I would never use enough to pay for it on its own).

It calls for a tin of tomatoes sauce and water. I add kidney beans  or chili bean mix (if husband isn't eating he's not keen on beans) carrots and celery and red and yellow peppers, sometimes before H we added hot peppers.

I put it in the crock pot to simmer all day long :)
