So I'm pretty sure my water broke...

I'm pretty sure my water broke.... I was laying in bed and woke up because i felt like i was peeing myself... Went to the bathroom and my underwear were soaked through. Plus I'm still leaking....The weird thing is Im not feeling any contractions. Is that normal? Needless to say we are headed to the hospital now and we will see what the prognosis is! It doesn't feel real at all! Wish me luck.

You very well may be having contractions and just not feel them yet! And yes, pretty sure you water did break! I didn't feel contractions until I was about 5 cm's dilated but went in after my water broke and i certainly could see them on the monitor. Good Luck!!

Same thing happened to me on Friday afternoon during my nap. I woke up to a trickle of fluid down my leg but then I opened my eyes and it was several gushes later. I ran to the bathroom and I was still leaking... and never stopped (even while at the hospital). That was at 1:45pm, DS#2 was born at 10:45pm that night. I didn't have any contractions for a few hours after my water broke, but I headed to the hospital anyway. By the time they got me in a room and set up with a gown and monitors the contractions were coming every 5 minutes or so.
