I've hit the point where I'm finding everything involving late pregnancy really, really funny because the alternative is for me to curl up in a ball and cry, and let's face it, that gets boring quick.
Here's my current source of amusement: my due date is Monday. Yesterday I noticed some tingling in my left hand. Turns out I have an extremely mild, late onset, possible case of partial carpel tunnel.
Really? I make it this far with virtually no problems with swelling and whatnot, and now here I am in the home stretch and my hands decide to be a PITA. Fortunately, it's only my left hand, it's extremely mild (I don't notice it most of the time) and will probably go away within a month since I'm so darn close to baby day anyway.
But yeah, I just keep laughing and thinking "what's next?" ![]()
Re: Really? Now. Oh joy.
You know, every time I've wondered "what next?" I end up with something else ridiculously silly to deal with! I was all over the place about none of my maternity clothes fitting all of a sudden, and now I've got the annoyance of semi-carpel tunnel.
I'll just have to stop wondering at this point :-D
I have had bad carpal tunnel in both hands since about three weeks before giving birth. It SUCKS! Two weeks after delivery (35 lbs lighter...yes put on a lot of water) and I still have it but getting better. It was terrible few for few days after delivery. dH had to dress baby all the time because I didn't have enough dexterity in my hands to roll onesie sleeves or snap snaps
I hope yours goes away quickly.
