...before the baby comes?

I know we are very excited about the baby, but once the baby is born, it'll be all about the baby for a long time.  Even if you have date nights and kids-free vacations, it'll never be the same.

(We have a 4 yo son, so in our case it won't be just about me and my husband, but a 4-year-old can do a lot of stuff, and I want to do something special just the 3 of us...before it'll be about feeding, burping, and changing diapers, etc...)

I'm just wondering if you guys are doing anything to enjoy each other?

We are going to take a trip to visit his Dad. It's only about 3 hours from us, but we are very remote where we are so, it will be a big city adventure for DS  We plan on go kart riding, fun dinner places for him to play. And more than likely I 'll spend some time shopping with his sis.  But it should be a nice get away for us. Plus it will be mid week since he works weekends, so not a lot of crowds to fight with, which is always a plus when your pregnant with a almost four year old.

Next month, DH and I are going up to the mountains for a night at a bed and breakfast for DH's birthday.  We've been there a few times since we moved out here and LOVE it.  We plan on doing a little hiking (probably just 2 miles or so) and go pottery shopping (I have a little addiction to pottery).  We'll also go and pick out a Christmas tree--there's a great place nearby where you get in a tractor, they drive you up a mountain, you pick out a tree, and they chainsaw it down.  I'm hoping once LO is old enough this will be part of our holiday tradition.  DH is Jewish so I had to convince him to do this the first time but now he loves it and wants to do it all the time.
