IUI #3 - BFN :( What's next??

I went in for Betas this am, even though I know I'm not pregnant - took two home tests, both negative, and I have the same pre-period symptoms I've had with my last 4 BFN's.

Anyway, my dr. had said he wanted me to take November off and do an EPP in December.  BUT, he also "warned" me that if I can't start the EPP cycle by December 4th they'd have to cancel it because of Christmas.  I really don't want to wait another two months...Based on my calculations, I should get my period this Sunday or Monday.  Only other wrinkle is that I am going away for Thanksgiving, Thursday through Sunday, so I'm afraid that even if I do want to do a cycle in November, I can't because of my trip.

I am so frustrated!!!!!!

Sorry about the BFN.   Even when you know it is going to happen, it is still very upsetting.

Cycling can be so stressful as it is and then you throw in the holidays and it just makes it worse.   We are in a similar boat.  Our clinic is closing around Christmas and unless my period works out perfectly (which we know it won't), we won't be able to start until mid-late January.

I'm so sorry!!!!  I know how frustrating working all the timing out can be.  Just went through it myself.  It's tough scheduling around RE office being closed too.  Thats what put us into January for retrieval/ transfer.  I am at peace with it though and looking forward to being a normal person during the holidays.

It really sucks how IF runs out lives and takes over what we do or not do.  I hope you are able to cycle before Christmas.

I am so sorry jess!     The BFN is so deflating...and I totally understand the frustration of potentially having to wait until January to start your next cycle.  I am probably in the same (slow) boat! 

Like the PP said...in some ways it is a nice chance to be a normal person over the holidays.  Have some drinks, don't worry about scheduling in the appts for monitoring and accu, not have to spend the extra $ for OOP during the holidays, etc...

Still...It's so disappointing.  I'm sorry!

Good point about the accu too.  We decided I would start back every other week in Nov then every week in Dec to prepare for January.  Makes me feel like I am doing something and not just waiting around.

I just got the "official" BFN call from the doctor.  Good news is, the PIO worked!  Come onnnnn AF!

I'm so sorry. At least you won't have to spend the holidays waiting to find out if your pregnant, right? Here's hoping AF comes and the cycle doesn't interfere with your travels! Sending T&p's

Hi Jessager!

I am so sorry you didn't get your BFP! I was hoping for you! AF came last night so I found out that my IUI was a BFN to! Here's to wine this weekend and gearing up for the next cycle!

I know it can be very stressful scheduling cycles. I travel for work so I am constantly trying to make sure that my body and my work schedule don't clash!!!

I'm so sorry to hear this news. Every BFN call is a nightmare. But, I do agree with PPs. On our summer break, I went back to my college drinking days. It was awesome. Good luck to you as you and your RE discuss future plans!
