I just received an email from Amazon stating that my Two day free shipping was about to expire and that if I wanted to receive two day free shipping I would have to pay $79 a year. Has anyone signed up for Amazon Prime? Is it worth it? I'm thinking about signing up for Amazon Mom again, but using a different email account. I wanted to get some feedback from others.
TIA

I was just thinking about this, this morning since I know my free prime through Amazon mom will expire in January or February. But does anyone know what the amount of purchases have to be from the baby section to extend it? I know I can look it up, but I'm lazy and someone here has got to know the answer!
I've also heard that if you have an email address that ends in .edu, you can get amazon prime free that way as well.
To me, Prime is sooooo worth it - but, I order basically anything off Amazon that I need! I know that with Amazon Mom, you are get 1 months worth of Amazon Prime for ever $25 spent in one order
So, it's initially 3 months free... and then if you spend $25, it will extend a month. We get all our diapers/wipes through Amazon Mom, so our Diapers alone allows us to extend the Prime (which then can be used on anything which is awesome)! The size 2 Pampers Swaddlers we get were $11 cheaper with Amazon Mom Subscribe & Save than at Target/BRU!

Ditto this. Amazon Prime is the most amazing service. We've always had it and between the discounts and the free shipping - and the option for $3.99 overnight in emergencies - it's always paid for itself.

I had bought the prime, then got reimbursed for a pro-rated amount when the Amazon Mom thing came out, but I think my free Amazon mom is going to come to an end.
I should look into the edu address thing- or make an effort to use the streaming/kindle loaning enough to make it worth while.
There's not much on lending right now - their big coup seems to have been the Hunger Games trilogy - but I'm excited about seeing it grow. I pph Amazon.
